Possible Cystic fibrosis in my 3 year old?

I have a 3 year old that since 6 weeks of age has had a hard time staying healthy. It started with RSV at 6 weeks and escalated to pneumonia(3x) bronchitis(6x) (rsv 2x) sinusitis (12x) and several URIs he even managed to catch the H1N1 and has had 4 hospital stays. He had about 15 ear infections even with 4 sets of tubes and has had his adenoids removed. Right now he has bronchitis and can not kick it with the meds given. He sees many specialists for orthopedic, ENT, dermatology, endocrine and now has been referred to a pulmonary and allergy immunology in Chapel Hill. In all this they want to test him for cystic fibrosis as apparently he is a candidate. I am trying to cope with all this so i can help my little boy. Has anyone been thru this?
