GUYS-- what does holding hands mean to you?

Would you hold a girls hand if you didn't like her as more than a friend or only if you actually liked her? This guy knows that I've liked him for a while but wasn't straightforward on if he likes me but when we went to this amusement park he reached out his hand for me to hold and he interlocked our fingers and we were like that for a short amount of time. I just want to know if it's a big deal and if you would hold a girls hand even if you didn't like her as more than a friend and what exactly holding hands means to a guy?..
