Will science ever have the same rights as Christianity?

Why even compare apples to oranges? Just let the others adapt to science. People would eventually figure out the truth for themselves. Science would finally aculate enough overwhelming evidence to dispel old illusions. People are free to find truth for themselves and it should not be hard when rational heads are put together for good use.
